Privacy Policy

PC Deals South Africa ("PCDeals", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through pcdeals.co.za (the "Website"), why we collect it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). We are the "responsible party" for that information.

1. What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the store:

What we do not collect: we never see or store your card details or banking credentials — payment is by EFT directly from your bank to ours. The Website does not require an account, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your shopping basket exists only in your browser during your visit and is not stored by us until you place an order.

2. How we use your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have asked for them.

Order and payment records are kept for at least 5 years as required by South African tax and company law, then deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for a short rolling period for security purposes. If you contact us without ordering, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to help you.

5. How we protect it

Your information is stored in a secured database with access limited to authorised staff, protected by individual staff accounts and an audit log. The Website is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but if a data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

7. Children

The Website is not aimed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; orders must be placed by an adult.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at pcdeals.co.za/privacy.html with its "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Website.
